I have edited this photo in iPhoto, by boosting and fading the colours to create a dark image resembling the niche genre of music. I think that the look and proportions of the image would be best suited to a double page spread as oppose to a front cover. The dull, dingy colours would appeal more to a teenage audience which is in fact the target reader.

I really like this photo but I do not think it would be seen on the front of a music magazine as it is not zoomed in. However, I particularly like the colours and the position of the model as he looks casual and relaxed, resembling the style of music.

I have edited this photo into black and white and I have also boosted the colours to give a sharper image. I think that this photo would look better on a Contents page as it perhaps gives the reader an insight into the type of music displayed, the dark colours reinforce this aspect. The model is looking away from the camera which implies a sense of uncertainty and mystery enticing the audience into reading inside.

I have edited this photo in iPhoto by fading and boosting the colour, I also used the "antique" tool giving the photo a retro image. I do not think that this photo would be appropriate in my music magazine as the model does not make eye contact and the position he is sitting in also looks awkward which is not suitable for the front cover.

I thought this image would particularly suit the contents page as I am planning on having black and white images with coloured text in order for the text to stand out to the audience. I used the internet editing site called "Picnik" in order to edit my image to suit the magazine genre. By using this particular location (skate park) and having the model holding a guitar, this image presents the correct codes and conventions of a music magazine.
