Front Cover:
Here I am showing the steps involved in order to create the front cover of my Music Magazine:

Once the photograph was edited in iPhoto (the brightness, etc.), I opened it in PhotoShop in order to create the front cover as this would be the background image. Next, I chose the particular font I wanted which would be the logo for this branded magazine, as shown, and finally entered the title, chose the colour and positioned the title where I wanted on the page.

After, using the same font, I added a block on text to the bottom of the page. I have also used the same colour blue to compliment the title. As the majority of the target audience is male, the blue colour appeals to men as oppose to women.

Then I added an offer to the left hand side of the magazine, however, the particular font, size and colour chosen, did not compliment the magazine well and I thought it spoiled the whole image of the magazine, consequently not fulfilling the purpose appealling to enthusiastic music lovers, therefore I deleted the text.

Next, I added the month and price to the top right hand corner to display to the reader that it is a monthly magazine, suggesting it contains a lot of information associated with one particular genre of music, purely for a certain type of person. The price is fairly cheap for a monthly magazine demonstrating that the brand occupies a younger target audience, for instance students that have a low budget to purchase leisure items such as magazines. However, "Live!" is great value for money providing lots of information.

After reviewing the different type of font used for the month and price, I realised that it would look more professional to use a uniformed font throughout the cover symbolising the brand. Next, I started adding titles on the left-hand side to appeal to the reader, enticing them to reader more. Additionally, I thought that picking a complimentary colour would benefit the magazine so I chose orange to compliment the blue title.

Next I continued adding more subheadings to the side of the page and added the artist's name to the middle. Also, I changed the colour of the "+" signs to orange, as oppose to purple. This compliments with the grattifitied background of the cover.

Finally, I added a german word to the centre of the page to enlighten the reader that this artist is german, which gives a sense of a different culture. The different fonts used varies the image of the cover. All of the fonts used are both masculine and feminine appealling to both genders in the target audience. Finally, I added a barcode to the top corner of the page, making it appear more professional. This is the final draft of the magazine frontcover, I am pleased with the final outcome and think the colours compliment well and the fonts, etc. are ideal for the genre of music being represented.
After looking at my draft again and reflecting, I felt that it could be edited in order to create a more successful and professional looking front cover. I made a few changes to achieve this goal, such as making the artist bigger so he stads out more to the reader and encourages them to buy the magazine as the young people are aware that the music magazine is about the music. Additionally, I deleted some of the text on the cover, as it appears too busy and could be difficult to read, taking the emphasis away from the artist.
